Line Stripe Removal at Warner Bros Studio Lot

SHARE

In this newly constructed multi-level parking structure, approximately 120 misaligned parking lines needed to be removed and replaced without damaging the broomed concrete finish. After removals new lines were able to be painted in order to pass inspection.

For Your Information

Initially, the team considered removing the lines with their high pressure 40,000 PSI line stripe remover. While this machine was able to blast the paint away efficiently, it also took away the original swirl profile making it unsuitable for this application.

Transgel made this job quick, clean and easy and didn't risk damage to the finish.

FAQs

What product removes parking line stripes without damaging concrete?

Transgel Paint & Graffiti Remover was used to dissolve 2,300 linear feet of misaligned parking stripes while preserving the broomed concrete's original swirl profile. Its low-odor, no-splash gel can be rolled on, left to dwell, and pressure washed away.

Why not use a high pressure line stripe remover instead?

A 40,000 PSI line stripe remover blasted the paint away efficiently, but it also removed the original swirl profile of the broomed concrete, making it unsuitable for this finish. Transgel removed the paint quickly and cleanly without risking that damage.

How long does Transgel need to dwell before removal?

On this project Transgel was applied by roller and left to dwell overnight before hot water pressure washing, with a typical dwell window of 1 to 24 hours. Vanish was then used during the final cleanup for detailed cleaning.
