Safeguarding Against Graffiti and the Elements
Positioned on 15 contiguous acres, UHILL Walls is the driving force behind University Hill, a one of a kind mixed-use redevelopment of an abandoned strip center with award winning food, drink, wellness and residential living.
University Hill incorporates a 4-story apartment building that will become home to over 300 residents and now features one of the largest concentrations of mural art in the Southeast. University Hill is centrally located with close proximity to Duke University, downtown Durham and Chapel Hill.
A Four-Day, 260-Gallon Protective Coating Project
In the fall of 2020, the Social Public Art Resource Center (SPARC)'s Mural Rescue Team were contracted to preserve and protect the UHILL Walls mural collection. With a small crew of well trained technicians they were able to complete the project in just 4 days, spraying 160 gallons of MuralShield and 100 gallons of World’s Best Graffiti Coating. The final finish was truly something to behold!
